Private. Professional. Positive.
Do you feel no one relates or too embarrassed? Through over 15 years of healthcare experience, I have heard it all. In 2020 alone, I did over 4,500 psychiatric patient assessments. I address issues people suffer but do not discuss: trauma, nightmares, insomnia, substances, suicidal/homicidal thoughts, low/high sex drive, and low/high energy. I am open to treating all people regardless of race, ethnicity, country of origin, gender, sexual orientation, relationship status, and disability. Without judgement, we talk about areas you need assistance. Do not feel pressure to discuss painful memories. Change is slow, but worthwhile.
Growth is hard, but easier as a team. You are not alone, I understand your pain. Let me impart some of my motivation. Let us THINK POSITIVE together. Energy and positivity are contagious. Due to my care and compassion, I work hard to support you during tough times.
Everyone experiences anxiety and depression but not everyone needs to see a provider. Treatment is especially important when dysfunction occurs due to mental distress. Some people cannot get out of bed for work or they fight with families until relationships crumble. Individuals lose community through relocation, unemployment, divorce, incarceration, death, or isolation. Medications are not necessarily for life. Occasionally, clients choose medication management during stressful life events.
Sessions individualize to you with training on all psychiatric diagnoses across the lifespan. I have plenty of appointments available for medication management. No treatment plan fits every single patient. Sometimes clients want help reducing prescriptions, while others need the right combination. Although I do not provide counseling/therapy, I believe in uniting medicines and therapy for the best outcomes. I strongly encourage open communication and therapeutic relationships. The practice is client-centered and evidenced-based. Confidentiality is secured through HIPPA programs.
I keep appointment rates and insurances updated at the bottom of my website. Each appointment generates a Superbill in the Client Portal. A Superbill is a document that shows our psychiatric appointment together and the rates. Payment is due from you at the time of the appointment. You submit it to your insurance and the insurance decides how much to reimburse you. There is always a chance your insurance will refuse to pay any portion. The benefits of Superbill are that you will get an appointment with me sooner because you will not have to wait for the insurance contract with me. Some insurances may never become part of my contracted plans. Insurance contracts take up to six months when they start processing.
Board-certification ensures quality mental health care. I value hard work. I graduated from prestigious universities: University of Iowa and University of Missouri-Kansas City with honors. I led DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) and ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) Magnet Recognition Programs in hospitals. In graduate school, I finished with a 4.0. I received the APNA BOD (American Psychiatric Nurses Association Board of Directors) Scholarship. I continue membership with APNA and AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners).
I license in multiple states to reach you better. I hope to be there for you if you ever move. I offer flexibility with day, evening, and weekend options. I hope to become the psychiatry provider for you. Like PsychiatryProvider.com on Facebook. THINK POSITIVE! Hablo español y quiero ayudar con medicinas psiquiatricas.
